Acceptable Use Policy

AI content standards, safety checks, reporting and appeals.

Effective date: October 21, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) forms part of Filtora’s Terms of Service. It applies to photos and instructions submitted to our AI tools, generated images, and use of our service to store or distribute content. Our current tools generate images, not audio or video.

1. Your photos and permissions

Use only photos you own or are legally authorized to edit and share. Obtain permission from the people depicted; do not upload another person’s photo without their consent. Before submitting an AI request, confirm your rights and agreement to this policy. Consent does not authorize prohibited deepfakes or other prohibited content.

Our aging and anime effects are creative transformations, not factual predictions or evidence of real events. Do not misrepresent an AI image as an authentic photograph or imply endorsement by a person, brand or model provider.

2. Prohibited content

Do not upload, request, generate or distribute through Filtora any of these six categories:

  1. Pornography / NSFW: pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexualized nudity, nudification or sexual exploitation.
  2. Violence / gore: graphic injury, dismemberment, torture, or content promoting or glorifying violence.
  3. Hate speech: dehumanization, hateful discrimination or incitement against people based on protected characteristics, including race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  4. Child-unsafe content (CSAM): child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation or sexualization of minors, including synthetic images and depictions presented as minors. Sexual content involving minors is never allowed.
  5. Deepfakes / impersonation: face swaps, replacing someone’s identity with another real person’s, nudification, fabricated intimate scenes, or fabricated statements, actions or events involving real people. These uses are prohibited even with consent. Do not impersonate individuals, brands or organizations or deceive viewers about identity or authenticity.
  6. Copyright / trademark infringement: content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, including unauthorized copying and misleading claims of brand affiliation or endorsement.

Also prohibited are terrorism or extremist propaganda, facilitation of mass violence, instructions for weapons of mass destruction, incitement to genocide, harassment, fraud, deceptive spam and attempts to bypass safety checks. This service does not provide an adult-content exception.

3. Safety checks and human review

AI submission and delivery require safety checks. Submitted images are checked by Falcons NSFW Image Detection and then Llama Guard 4 through Replicate before generation; generated images receive the same checks before delivery, including recovered results. We do not offer free-text prompts or user text moderation. A blocked, inconclusive or unavailable check prevents delivery. Automated screening can make mistakes and cannot establish every copyright, consent or identity claim. Violence classification does not cover every form of gore, and small background objects or symbols can be missed. A blocked request alone does not automatically result in a permanent ban.

Reports, appeals and suspected violations are reviewed by the operator using the information available, including task references and safety decisions. Review may involve material you provide and retained results still available to us. We prioritize child-safety and other serious risks and may restrict access while investigating. We do not promise continuous human review of every image or round-the-clock staffing. Browser-only filters process photos locally and are not subject to server image inspection.

4. Report a concern

Email contact@filtora.app with the subject “Content safety report”. Include the task reference or relevant page link, the category of concern, a brief explanation, and a reply address. For rights complaints, explain your relationship to the affected person, work or trademark and the basis of the complaint. A report does not require a Filtora account.

Do not attach suspected child sexual abuse material or unnecessarily disclose sensitive personal information. A reference and explanation are sufficient to start a report. We handle reports confidentially and share identifying information only as needed to investigate, protect rights or meet legal obligations; absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

We register the report, assess severity, review available evidence, decide and apply any action, and communicate the outcome where appropriate. We may request clarification or explain delays. Deliberately abusive reports may themselves lead to restrictions; good-faith reports are welcome even if no violation is found.

5. Enforcement and credits

Depending on severity and repetition, we may warn you, reject a request, restrict access to retained content, suspend AI generation and result access, or permanently terminate AI access. Serious violations may lead to immediate restrictions without a warning. We may cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.

Blocked or undeliverable generations do not consume credits. Suspensions restrict spending rather than automatically clearing purchased balances. Unused purchased credits after termination are reviewed under our Terms of Service and applicable consumer rights. Content removal covers copies and access under our control, not files already downloaded elsewhere.

6. Appeals

To appeal, email contact@filtora.app with the subject “Safety appeal”, your task or decision reference, and why you believe the decision was incorrect. We reconsider the evidence, seek additional information where necessary and communicate the decision. Where staffing permits, a different reviewer handles the appeal. Confirmed errors result in appropriate restoration of access or correction of records. Expired or deleted images may no longer be recoverable.

7. Data and updates

See our Privacy Policy for safety processing and retention. We update this page’s effective date when the policy changes. Material changes affecting existing accounts will be communicated through an in-product notice or email before taking effect where practicable; urgent safety or legal changes may apply sooner.
